A couple of weeks ago my husband and I went on a little weekend getaway to Stowe, Vermont. I love taking a break from city life from time to time to just enjoy nature and small New England towns. Vermont is beautiful, for sure. I wish we could go up there more often! We got to stay at the newest boutique hotel in Stowe - Field Guide - which belongs to the Lark Hotel collection. And this place was so charming!

There are so many little things that make this hotel a special place. I'll start off with the hotel's general aesthetics. The elements of rustic and modern design complimented each other so well. I literally wanted to take pictures of every corner there! After checking in we were given an iPad with lots of useful information about local places to see and things to do. That saved us a lot of time and helped us to plan our stay in Stowe.  In the morning we found a basket at our door with a delicious breakfast that we enjoyed while watching Netflix. It truly made me feel like home there. For dinner we got a chance to visit the onsite restaurant, Picnic Social. It had just recently opened and I was really excited to try it out. Everything that we ordered (Smashed Fingerling Potatoes, Roasted Carrots, Burrata Salad) was so good! And after that delicious meal we finished the day in the best way possible - sitting outside by the fire, looking at the sky. So romantic!

We loved Stowe! There are so many fun things to do! We rented bikes and rode the full length of the Recreation Path from Stowe Village to Top Notch Resort on the Mountain Road. We enjoyed this path with its beautiful footbridges, streams, open meadows and mountains. We also went on a tour of Ben & Jerry's ice cream factory and ate lots of ice cream. On our last day there we went up to the top of Mt. Mansfield in the Stowe Gondola SkyRide. The views there are breathtaking! And at the end of our trip we bought a bunch of donuts from the Vermont famous Cold Hollow Cider Mill. It was a great summer weekend and I can't wait to go back!
